is the brush shaper stuff from michaels good for MAC brushes? it said on the packaging that its for synthetic brushes and MAC brushes are made of real goat hair. has anyone used this stuff on MAC brushes before? did it work? thanks

OK, this is going to make me sound really retarded... but anyway.

Over the weekend I went to visit family in my hometown. I cleaned all my makeup brushes the night before I left (they're mostly MAC, some aren't but they're all real goat/horse hair) and set them out to dry overnight as usual. Normally they're all dry within a few hours, but by the next afternoon, some of them were still damp on the heads. I think this was because it was really cold in our apartment overnight.

I had to take them all with me in case I wanted to use them. Because I needed to catch the train, I put the damp ones into a small plastic bag, apart from the dry brushes. When I got to my Mum's house, I planned to take them out to let them air dry, but totally kept forgetting about it.

I am back home now, and I only just got around to unpacking the suitcase today. When I found the plastic bag of brushes, I opened it and checked them - of course they were still SLIGHTLY damp because the bag had helped them retain moisture. I can't believe I forgot about them, and now they've stayed damp for a week!

I've looked at them and I can't see any signs of mildew, but I'm paranoid. Would I be able to see if there is any damage to the brushes already? They're currently sat upright to air dry, but I am planning to clean them again soon to get rid of any bacteria. Will this be enough to make them safe to use? I know I'm an idiot for leaving them in the bag. They weren't extremely damp, but I just want to be sure. I will, obviously, not make this mistake again!

I don't know why, but I can't stand when people don't put liner on their top lash line and then have some on the bottom. Or the shade they pick for a substitute for top lash liner is still too light for the look they are trying to do.

It always looks so....dry to me.

Anyone else in the same boat with me on this?

Maybe I'm just being irrational.


Also, anyone have some Night Owl E/S they'd be willing to part with in the near future? It wouldn't be right away seeing as I am poor right now but I'd like to keep someone in mind.
